Goals and competencies

The goals of this Master's degree are in line with the stipulates of the Spanish Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (MECES) and ensure the achievement of the basic competencies required to obtain a master's degree, following article 3.3, Appendix I of R.D. 1393/2007.

Fulfilment of the goals means students have achieved competencies that must be consistent with the fundamental rights of equality between men and women, with the principles of equal opportunities and universal accessibility for the disabled, and with the values proper to a democratic and peace-loving culture.

Reserved places: 5% for students with a certified disability of 33% or more.

Entry profile

This Master's Degree is aimed at people with an academic qualification in the Humanities (History, Philosophy, Linguistics, Art History, Audiovisuals, Bachelor's Degree in Humanities).
It is aimed at those students who wish to train as qualified researchers in the world of culture from a multidisciplinary dimension that links the cultural fact with the social world.

Admission criteria

The Master's Degree will have an admissions committee made up of at least the director of the Master's Degree and its coordinator, with the presence of at least three professors involved in the teaching of the Master's Degree being recommended. This committee will assess:

  • Applicant's CV. Up to 4 points.
  • Possible professional career, internships and, in particular, volunteer work, provided that it is related to the Master's Degree. Up to 2.5 points.
  • Letter of motivation and presentation (about 3000 characters). Up to 1.5 points.
  • Personal interview. Up to1 point.
  • Letters of recommendation. Up to 1 point.
