Mercado Objetivo

En relación al impacto económico, las líneas de investigación del grupo, inciden en la innovación tecnológica y los efectos directos de la innovación en la productividad y la competitividad de las empresas. Los nanocompuestos con los que se trabajará serán biodegradables, biocompatibles, ecológicos, simples y fáciles de ensamblar con un coste razonable. Además, pueden sintetizarse en disolución acuosa, en una sola etapa y a baja temperatura, lo que minimiza el consumo de energía y reduce considerablemente el coste. Por tanto, cabe esperar que sean fácilmente escalables a nivel industrial. Con respecto al impacto social, la investigación a desarrollar, está dirigida al desarrollo de biosensores fluorescentes para la determinación selectiva de aminoácidos, e implantación de sistemas que inhiban la formación se agregados (fibrillas) de la proteína -amiloide, y por tanto ofrece perspectivas muy interesantes en el campo de la biomedicina. La modificación biológica de los nanomateriales y sus derivados usando compuestos bioactivos, proporcionará un método biocompatible de preparación de nanocompuestos, más ecológico y selectivo en comparación con el uso de agentes reductores químicos tradicionales que son tóxicos para los seres vivos y el medioambiente.

Líneas de investigación del Grupo

  • Aplicaciones de nanomateriales y (bio)tensioactivos en métodos de separación.
  • Dispersión de nanomateriales de carbono en medios organizados: interacciones nanomateriales-(bio)tensioactivos y nanomateriales-compuestos bioactivos.
  • Sensórica química: detección y cuantificación de (bio)analitos por técnicas de fluorescencia molecular.

Equipamiento

Espectrofluorímetros de Perkin-Elmer modelos FL 6500 y LS-50B, de 200 a 900 nm. Para la adquisición y tratamiento de las medidas de fluorescencia se dispone de los softwares Spectrum FL y FLWinLab de Perkin-Elmer, respectivamente. Células de cuarzo de diferentes tamaños y volúmenes tanto para medidas estáticas como en flujo.
Espectrofotómetro UV-visible de Perkin-Elmer Lambda 35, de 200 a 1100 nm. Para la adquisición y tratamiento de las medidas de absorbancia se dispone del software UVWinLab de Perkin-Elmer.
Cromatógrafo de líquidos de Perkin-Elmer compuesto por bomba binaria modelo 250 de Perkin-Elmer, sistemas de inyección con válvulas de 20 y 5 µL de capacidad, sistema de termostatización Jet-Stream Plus de Knauer, detectores UV/VIS modelo 785A de Applied Biosystems y de fluorescencia serie 200 de Perkin-Elmer. Para la adquisición y tratamiento de los datos se dispone del software Turbochrom Navigator PE-Nelson V6.2.1.
Procesador de ultrasonidos: UP400S DR. HIELSCHER, 400 W, 24 KHz, 2 sonotrodos de titanio de 100 mm de longitud y 3 y 7 mm de diámetro
Balanza analítica: Ohaus Adventures
Centrifuga: Orto Digicen
Baños de termostatización con sistema de refrigeración Braun y Selecta
Baño de ultrasonidos: Transonics
Sistema de extracción en fase sólida, pH-metros, conductímetros, material de vidrio, agitadores de muestras, sistemas de filtración a vacío, etc.
Además, se cuenta con los servicios de los Centros de Apoyo a la Investigación, CAI, de la UAH.
